Community Forum: Help Teens Thrive in Adolescence
Adolescence is its own unique developmental phase, and our teens need the support and structure for them to become motivated, contributing, and purpose-driven individuals as they mature into adulthood.
The San Luis Obispo County Office of Education invites you to come see Ellen Galinsky speak at Templeton Performing Arts Center on Monday, May 6th at 5:30pm. Ms. Galinsky is the President of the Families and Work Institute who just published her new book, The Breakthrough Years. Her presentation will focus on what teenagers require for happy and healthy lives and strategies for how parents and educators can support their social and emotional needs so they may thrive.
Attendance at the event and parking are free for all attendees. Spanish translation will be available at the event.
A free copy of Ms. Galinksy’s new book (released 3/26/24), The Breakthrough Years, will be given to the first 150 registrants.
Click on the flyers for more information and to register for the event.
