Senior William Wallace Named National Merit Finalist

Photo by Jackson Buys. Congratulations to Templeton High Schools senior William Wallace for being named a National Merit Finalist. The National Merit Scholarship Program is a prestigious academic honor awarded to students who perform exceptionally well on the PSAT/NMSQT. Finalists are selected from among high-scoring semifinalists and must submit a detailed application that includes academic records, a recommendation, extracurricular involvement, and a personal essay. They must also confirm their performance with strong SAT or ACT scores. Fewer than 1% of high school seniors nationwide earn this distinction, making it a significant national recognition of academic excellence and leadership.
