Substitute Teachers & Staff

Substitute teaching opportunities are available on an "on-call" basis, and compensation is $200.00 per day for a full day for TK-12th grades.

There are other Substitute opportunities in Custodial, Special Education, Food Service, Office, Yard Duty, and Crossing Guard positions (paid at the entry level hourly rate).

To become a substitute teacher for Templeton Unified School District, please print and complete the appropriate application form found and bring it to our HR Office with the following documentation:

  • Driver's License (original)
  • Social Security Card (original)
  • Credential or Sub Permit

What Is Classified?

A classified employee is a person who performs a service in which a certificate or credential is not required.

Examples include:

  • Bus Driver
  • Cafeteria Worker
  • Custodian
  • Grounds Person
  • Instructional Aide
  • Maintenance
  • Mechanic
  • Secretary
